Historically rooted in the Charentes region, Distillerie De La Tour has always been committed to promoting the winegrowing diversity of the local terroir. Today, in the vineyards of Cognac and Gascony, the company continues to produce premium wines, cognacs, wine eaux-de-vie and other premium spirits always with the same rigour and passion.

Origin
Founded in 1989 by passionate Charentais oenologist/winemaker Jean-Michel Naud, Distillerie De La Tour was created to unlock the full potential of the Charente & Gascony vineyards.

Pioneering
Distillerie De La Tour works with local vinegrowers, creating value from each part of the grapes. Over time, venturing into grain-based spirits, becoming pionneers in the region, producing world-class vodkas, whiskies and gins.

Later joined by Jean-Michel’s children, Clarisse and Pierre, Distillerie De La Tour continues to push boundaries and uphold regional pride.

Scale, craftsmanship and transmission
Over the years, Distillerie De La Tour has built strong international partnerships that continue to enlargen the global footprint and deepen the understanding of local markets and customer needs.
As of 2026, Distillerie De La Tour operates 4 sites in France : distillation in Pons, ageing, blending and processing in Merpins and winemaking in Jonzac and Gondrin, employing a team of 60+ dedicated professionals and empowering a network of 3,000+ partner winegrowers and farmers.
As the region’s largest independent distiller, Distillerie De La Tour stays hands-on at every stage, from grape, grain and other raw materials into our facilities and ultimately to the glass.
